Say you wanted an alert that would work with gmail, the opera browser, or simply on your desktop. What's a good, free program that would be able to give you alerts for that? (Ex. Every three hours.)

After the obvious answer of your mother? I use Citrus Alarm Clock. http://www.brothersoft.com/citrus-alarm-... You just set the time you want it to go off and it plays whatever song you want choose at the time you choose without interfering with anything. So there.
